TAPE 4: WILLING AND THE SEACH FOR PERSONAL GOODNESS
Lynn: Instinct uses up will forces and does not restore them. Our
instinctual behaviors are the ones we don't think or feel our way into;
that do not have any relationship to our personal ideals, our sense of
personal morality. It's just an amazing experience when you act out of
will imbued with your personal morality. You feel this incredible
renewal. It doesn't mean you won't be tired but it will be a good sense
of being tired...that you have done something good.
Lynn: Instinctual behavior that has no moral imagination behind it...that
is what wearies us...drains us.
